Decent Thai food at a fair-ish price given its city location. However, the service let all of this down badly. After we had sat down, perused the menu, been served drinks and crackers, and put our lunch orders in, we were then told we had to pay cash. None of the staff knew where the nearest cash point was so most of the then wandered off to find one. Friday lunch at Thai Square, Minories, City of London: we chose the 'Gold' set menu. The service was well below par, I had selected quite an expensive bottle of wine and had to ask 5 or 6 times that the waitresses stopped incessantly trying to top up our glasses, then the two who served the main course had an animated conversation with each other in Thai, ignoring both of us and what they were doing. The food was scarcely warm, it would have been hot when put on the plate, 20 minutes earlier.

I visited Thai Square on The Minories on a weekday lunch time so there were a few busy tables, but certainly not enough to make us wait over 45 minutes for our food. We ordered the duck - never arrived instead they brought us teh main course - and got one of those wrong - the other one was cold. Very disappointing as was nice food but shame it was ruined by poor service. The waitress said the kitch had lost our order - all very confusing but either way unecessary and won't be going back.
