Thai Square at Putney Bridge is warmly suggested for 2 to 4 people dinner.food is good, sizes are generous, seafood platter at £50 has much more value-for-money than other starters, lobster was tasty and good-size. the venue has an original architecture, with a buzzy bar downstairs good for a calm pre-dinner drink or a busy after-dinner one. restaurant room looks like a huge train restaurant-carriage, but tables are big enough, f you are 5,one of you will be squeezed a bit, 3 in front of 2,bit odd
thai square putney is great fun - the venue and location are very impressive but the food is just OK!
Although the food was very good, the service was poor, the ladies especially. I also think if you are paying over £400 for a meal the cloakroom should be free.
Putney's Thai Square has a great location with the food and service to match. I ordered the 'Sexy Tuna' as a starter which only had one chilli as an indication of the heat yet it practically blew my head off! The understanding and very cheerful staff replaced it with a lovely mushroom soup without question or delay. So if you beware the chillis you will no doubt have a wonderful meal and top evening.
The food at Thai Square is as good as the wonderful view across the Thames. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will definately be going again.
The food at thai square was divine and totally authentic. The meal was heary, generous and filling. The price was very reasonable for the portions.
The Thai Square - Putney Bridge was really good as ever, the food was especially tasty.
Thai Square Putney Bridge has a pleasant atmosphere with romantic views over the River Thames. Coupled with excellent service and delicious food this is a good choice for dining with family, friends or a partner. I would definitely recommend a visit as you are almost certain to be pleased, particularly if you choose the baked black cod!
The food was great and service was good, but we were seated on the very worst table which was in the far corner by the toilets next to a table full of swearing drunkards and I had a wobbly chair! The people next to us decided to stand up behind me after their meal and continue their loud conversation. I had to ask them to move on but they only moved a bit. I was hoping the staff would ask them to move downsatirs to the bar but they didn't. Spoilt it and my girlfriend and I argued about it.
