Reasonable thai food in South Kensington. However definitely felt very rushed by the staff to finish out meal.
Decent spot to go for lunch with a group. The service was very good, and everyone enjoyed their food. It wasn't an exceptional experience, but I'd certainly be happy to return!
Too many people think they have tasted Thai food once they walked into any restaurant which claim to be serving Thai food. However as someone who's not from Thai, I can vouch that Thai Square is as authentic as it can gets. Once you eat here, you will never go back to those commercialised, westernised Thai food chain.
It was ideal for a pre-show dinner when we went to The Royal Albert Hall. The set menu was delicious, we had 3 courses and a bottle of wine for around £70.
We love Thai Square and look forward to eating there each time we are in London, but the S Kensington location is a bit of a disappointment. The waitresses are very pushy to take your order, clear your table (while you are eating), and then have you out the door as soon as you have finished your last mouthful. The drinks menu is not like the other Thai Square chains, so if you like a good cocktail, this is not the restaurant for you. Used to khow this restaurant as the Contented Sole years ago, and I am pleased that I left , once again, a contented soul. The food was very good, the service was attentive, and it was value for money. As always, the place was cramped downstairs.
This was a first visit to this branch of Thai Square, where we ate before attending a concert at the Albert Hall. We were seated in the downstairs room, which is quite small. I presume there are more tables on the next floor up (?). The food was delicious and the service friendly and efficient and it was very good value for the amount of food we had. Very close to the South Kensington museums and the Albert Hall. Would definitely visit again and would recommend
I took a friend who was visiting London for the first time. She really liked it and so did I, it was the first time I ever went. We ordered some soup and a main each and the price was decent for the quality of food and the location. Would definitely go back!
My friend and I had a lovely meal at Thai Square before a show at the Royal Albert Hall. The portion sizes were a bit on the small side but it was good. Service was quick and efficient.
