Our first time here so didn't have any expectations but was disappointed with the ambience of the restaurant. Very brightly lit, we were sat next to the reception desk/bar and the table connected to ours was used as an extension of the reception/bar... food to be taken to other diners was rested here, bags brought in by the constant flow of food delivery drivers were rested here, empty glasses for washing were left here. The food here is amazing. Full of flavour and definately worth trying at least once. The restaurant is quite petite however still has a lovely feel to it. I did however feel like my friend and I were in the way as the staff did not seem very happy. Hopefully it wasnt us and if we went again they'd be having a better day.
Good food and they’ve adapted well to COVID. I look forward to eating indoors!
We were sat downstairs and it feels a little cramped but it was ok for a lunch date with hubby. The waitress insisted we check in via the nhs app in front of her which I think was very good. We were pleasantly surprised to find that they were still doing eat out to help out up to £10 each off the bill which was great. The non veg starters were delicious! I usually love visiting Thai Square restaurants, my favourites bring the Wig and Pen (currently closed) and Somerset House locations. This Kensington venue is sadly not to their usual high standards. The actual restaurant layout is good and was exceptionally clean. The staff attentive, polite and friendly. The food badly let it down and I believe it was reheated and not cooked fresh. Very welcoming staff, a little to over tentative because I felt as if I was watched through every bite and they just wanted to take my plate away. But I am very happy love the food and service and quality was nice. Thank you for having me. I will be back again.
