The B.O.B. (an acronym for Big Old Building) is located in downtown Grand Rapids. The 70,000-square-foot, four-story, red brick building was constructed in 1903 as Judson's grocery warehouse. We had a big group go to the comedy show, our waitress was extremely rude. I know for sure my wife and I will not go back. The amount of money we spent the waitress was lucky she took her own tip, because we will not spend another dime in this place. The comedy show was good and so was the food.
Wish I could give a better review because we really enjoyed the chili cook off and the live music was great...however almost all the staff were indifferent and lacked any interest in taking care of customers...with the exception of a bartender (Chris?)on the 2nd floor, very courteous and helpful. We've been to the BOB many times and it just seems the customer service gets worse with every visit...
Freezing cold standing in line then the scanner wasnt working and stood in the cold some more
So F'ING rude. They decided to not open until 4 pm because of NYE but didn't bother to tell anyone they were opening until 4. WTF
Making a reservation was very difficult. No one called back or got back to me. We had a reservation and still we're forced to wait outside. Our server however was awesome and very accommodating.
I spent a total of 3 hrs in lines to get to the Eve, 20 minutes before the New Year started. My feet were shot before I could even get on the dance floor. Floors were trashed so there was no way I was taking my shoes off in line. For how expensive it was that night ($30) and how popular the BOB is, I was very disappointed on how unorganized it all was. I will not be suggesting there for next year's holidays.
The B.O.B. has a 4.1 star rating with 4,274 reviews.
The B.O.B. is closed now. It will open on Thursday at 4:00 p.m.
