I just got off the phone with Jessica from Chimney Sweep. She wouldnt even give me a quote without a $180.00 diagnostic fee. I was trying to give her the exact information from the manual. She also called me back from several different numbers. This is a shady business.

Service was ok. But what makes me mad that the service guy had a TIP option on checkout?? This is ridiculous! For a service call! Really??? This is not a restaurant! I will never use these guys again!

Jimmy Ives looked at 3 fireplace inserts I needed installed in 2 new home builds in Durant Ok, he climbed on the roof, in the fireplace areas and measured up the chimney framing. He was there on a Saturday, quoted me $3185 turn-key to install all 3. Jimmy Ives asked for a deposit of $2185 to buy the needed parts which I paid with a check. Jimmy Ives said he would be back that coming Wednesday or Thursday at the latest and it would take only 1/2 a day to finish. We used this service for a chimney sweep and were so dissatisfied. First, I asked when booking the appointment if they dealt with wasp removal and they said yes, but we would just need to call a bee keeper out to spray some pheromones to keep them from coming back once they vacuumed them all up. Then on the day of our appointment, the technician said they don't deal with that. Made an appointment a few weeks ago for them to come out today. I took off from work to be here for them. Well yesterday at 11:30 I received an email to confirm my appointment. I was at work, didn't have my phone on me- not checking personal emails. So I didn't read it until after work. At 4- I got another email that they had cancelled my appointment- because I didn't confirm to the 11:30 email. They gave me less than 5 hours to confirm an appointment I wanted! I had an appointment for cleaning. When they arrived, they said my chimney was actually clean and didn't need anything done. BUT, they then said it was a $99 service fee for showing up or I could just pay $118 for an inspection. None of this was explained to me when I made the appointment. Nothing about a service fee or fee just to stop by. I think this is wrong to do to customers who don't need cleaning after all yet get stuck with a ridiculous service fee. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. We are renting our home and our landlord has used this company for our chimney maintenance. In preparation for winter and wanting to use our fireplace, we made an appointment in OCTOBER. The first time they came out to clean the chimney and realized it needed a refractory panel replacement. Horrible customer service from the office staff. They don't have any knowledge of their products, they're incompetent, they will not accommodate the simplest requests of telling how much a quote because as stated, "I will have to add that up." I'm surprised they are still in business. I suggest using another company.

Called to request quote/appointment to address leaking fireplace. She asked if I was sure leak wasn't from sideways rain. Mentioned it had leaked last year, and that handyman had addressed issue. She went on to "educate" me on handymen and licensed contractors. Needless to say, I did't get quote, service, or appointment.
