Pleasant The hotel is such a big hotel, the lobby was beautiful. I'm not sure if one side of the hotel is updated and the other is not but we stayed on the north side. After you get off the elevator (we stayed on the 12th floor) it was very run down and outdated in the halls. Once we got to our room the room was clean but again outdated. I couldn't complain tho because of the amount we spent to stay in downtown Chicago. Was it extremely outdated yes. Was it clean yes. So I guess u have to decided what matters the most. Very Good I liked that the hotel was a very historical building, and the interior was very ornate and decorative. I liked that there was a bar and restaurant in the hotel.
Location great but hotel lacking for price you pay. Very old out dated property. Smells like mildew. At first when you arrive the lobby and downstairs is very nice. That’s where they must have spent all their money. Rooms are not great at all and hallways are scary. The location is great.
This was an elegant hotel with beautiful room views. You won't be disappointed. It would have been nice to have a complimentary breakfast option. This was a beautiful hotel. The picture that was advertised for the hotel exceeded my expectations in person. It was larger and more beautiful than the photo. Thank you for being honest about the cosmetic features of the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

Great place, not great experience. We had to leave our car in a nearby parking lot and it was scratched overnight. The bellboy did not let us unload our luggage comfortably. He urged us to move, even though there was no one waiting in line. Great view and location.
It was the perfect spot for us to begin our route 66 trip. It might need some updating in a few areas. We really liked the historic nature of the hotel. 
Comfortable hotel in a great location, but hotel logistics and interior could use an update. We requested a room change because we wanted a quieter room in a higher floor. They accepted the request and assigned us a different room, but when we went to the second room it had suitcases in it (so they gave us access to someone else's room). We went back to the front desk and changed the room again.
