Clean, Comfortable Place to Stay in a Great Location! The shine has come off the Congress Hotel. It's clean and comfortable but it's not a new property and the appearance of the rooms reflects its age. That did not impact our stay at all. Parking is not cheap - skip the attached garage (at $46 per day) and use an app like SpotHero and find less expensive parking within walking distance. Pleasant Our room needs an update I know it’s an old hotel and it definitely shows it in the rooms, needs a better a/c the one in there is very inefficient. The curtains are dusty, beds were okay. I just feel it was overpriced for the quality but I guess the location makes up for it I love how convenient the location was, everything right in front of us and all within walking distance, the hotel itself was pretty nice, the lobby area is beautiful, our lakeside view room was okay
Pleasant The daily wake up call of "Housekeeping" shouted out in the hallway over and over all the way down the hallway (inspite of publicized COVID-19 measures in the room stating housekeeping would only come on demand during our stay) cost me at least an hour of vacation sleep every morning. Very quiet hotel room except for every morning when someone would yell housekeeping down the hallway over and over until everyone is shouted at awake. Economical. Great location.
