I had a personal trainer for a 2 month minimum for the edge fitness in Fairfield, Ct. I gave my 30 day notice as per clubs policy. My last payment was made on May 5th of 2022 in the amount of $363. This Gym has been making me jump through hoops for about a month now. I have really bad mental health and other health issues and the gym just isn’t going to work for me. So I emailed to cancel my membership. I got denied and the stated I needed a doctors note. A DOCTORS NOTE????? Whatever I go and get a doctors note. They denied me again. Wtf?? The edge fitness is not being fair with female customers. They provide a separate facility for women only, which is great, however they’re charging women 39.99 a month for use of this room. The area and the equipment provided is not even a quarter of the main gym itself. The womens gym area is so small and they’re expected to pay more. Corporate, I kindly ask you to look into this. In September 2021 I called the club from there and asked them to cancel my membership, I may not be able to make it alive. The Edge in Media has a Sales Representative named Brandon who was talking to me with such disrespect. When I tried to cancel early the representative that I talk to never mentioned to me about canceling it in may. Then I called again right before I canceled and was only told to come in person. So I went in person and all he was said that my cancel date was 6/30. Never told me that it was 6/30 not 7/30. They don’t know how to inform people the way it works. The manager was nice when I was waiting for two years to refund my daughter training money. But when I said I don’t want come anymore and need to cancel my membership. He started to disrespect me, yelling and telling me stop talking to me I will cancel tomorrow but you can’t have refund anymore.
