Yesterday Morning, Sunday October 4th, around 10 AM I walked into the Edge while Marathon training on the adjacent Housatonic Rails to Trails system, desperately in need of a restroom. There was nothing else opened and nothing nearby on the trail. All I had with me was my running attire. The small-minded clerk absolutely refused to allow me to use their restroom without first signing up for a tour of their facility. No cameras on the inside. If you want to go where they protect their customers, try planet fitness. Cameras there are on the inside and out. This is how most businesses do it, but not edge. Imagine somebody putting their hands on you while the staff does nothing. I'm glad not everything in life comes down to he said, she said. People should feel secure when paying a monthly fee, or any bit of money. Planet fitness is very happy to have cameras working for them and it keeps their customers safe, also.

The management is terrible and they are completely unwilling to work with out-of-town guests. Given the rudeness and lack of respect, I will never be returning. I would rather exercise in my host's basement than attempt to go here again.

The young men at the front desk are rude and not helpful to customers. But the managers are very nice.

I highly recommend to NOT support this gym. It is a decent gym inside but you will rarely get there. There is no spots to park between 4pm-730pm any week day for sure, and more than likely other times of the day you will drive in circles for 15+ minutes before you find a spot. It really is a shame they picked this location and did not plan ahead with how many spots they would need. I am also very disappointed that management does not prevent people from parking in the other businesses lots on the property. People blatant... read more

I think I burn more gas driving around the parking lot looking for a parking spot than I do driving to the gym. Don't get me wrong, the place is nice and most of the female staff is hot and pleasant to look at, BUT, the places is ridiculously crowded. Some of the people know how to make shakes and some of them could care less. It's bad when I skip the shake bar because of who is making shakes!! Have you considered one of our other great locations? Locations are often busy at different times and it might be just what you need to get in a great workout at the time of day you want to do it.
The edge in Trumbull is great. Great equipment and large area to work out. They have more than enough weights to go around. That being said, the gym is often overcrowded since its moderately new. Parking is ridiculous. Good luck finding a spot. The other thing that's terrible is that if you go after 3, then the gym is packed with high school kids that are there for social hour and take up the machines. I joined the Edge in Shelton and love it there. Decided to try Trumbull as I needed to pick my son up after a sleepover. Got here at 7:00 AM on a Sunday after braving some slick roads only to find it closed. Still waiting at 7:30 AM. Called Edge Shelton and (of course) they were open. DON'T bother with the Trumbull location. I had read negative reviews regarding staff here and now I can see why. SHELTON is where it's at 5 stars!!!

The gym itself is great. I never had trouble with the workers. They are all very nice. The parking is terrible! Someone please tell me why they would open a pet store so big when they could have used it for more parking.
