This place is a joke. They make you jump through hoops to cancel in hopes to keep members. Called the club wishing to cancel as I'm not interested in their gym. I get asked all these questions to be told I have to call their financial company. I call the finance company and am told I have to send a WRITTEN request and will be charged for the next month as well. This is FAR from what I was told when signing up. As other reviewers agree this place should be ashamed of themselves.
Absolutely horrible gym. They promised yoga classes which were a joke pre-Covid. I informed the business manager that I was not renewing my membership (again Lee-Covid) yet they opted to charge my wife and I am Annual Fee in February......when all the gyms were still closed!! How stupid do you have to be to charge patrons a new fee for 2021when they weren't able to utilize the gym for most of 2020? Money grubbing, poor service and callous! Bad combination!
I am sending this regarding their absolutely asinine cancelation policy. I called my local club to cancel my policy due to my discomfort due to covid-19 and I was told that I need to have a doctors note and then physically enter the gym in order to cancel my membership. It seems to me that this is a dereliction of customer safety to demand someone at high risk of complications due to covid-19 enter a public gym. You should be ashamed of yourselves for upholding this policy during a global pandemic.
Terrible customer service! I tried to cancel my membership in November once they started charging us again to come work out. They told me I needed a doctors note to cancel. I went to get a doctors note that week and was told to bring it in instead of email to make things easier and quicker. So that is just what I did. Now I see I was charged again, so I called up there and the man told me that they never put the copy of my doctors note into the system, so there is no proof that I brought it up there. If you're ever looking for a place to get some free expensive fitness shoes, look in their dumpster. I know someone who works here and they said that they have to throw away everything in the lost and found because they're not responsible for lost items.
