I would give 0 stars if I could. Staff is rude and unwelcoming. The sales team is vague and misleading in regards to your membership agreement. Be aware that your locked into a year contract with little exemptions. If you try to cancel or freeze, you have to go through a third party billing where they collect even more money from you to cancel. Save your money and energy, go somewhere else.
Horrible customer service and difficult to deal with. I moved to Des Plaines and needed to cancel my membership for the Naperville location. I've sent them all my documents with my new address and they still won't cancel. They first asked for my updated drivers license. I sent that in and they said it wasn't valid and I needed to send them over a bank statement or credit card statement. I sent that in and said that wasn't valid as well. Workers are horrible and really rude. Equipment is nice and really good, lousy management that think they have full authority over their members. I tried recording my workout like always, one of the workers threatened to break it "into a million pieces". Never had that problem with any other gym. I most certainly do not recommend getting a membership here , going through all that just to use nice equipment isn't worth not even $10 of my hard earned money.
Horrible gym half the trainers don't know what their doing. They come up with new rules everyday and half the time they sit in the front talking shit. I broke my foot and the only things that felt good on my foot was crocs. A male trainer swore at a 14 year old and said he could do whatever he wanted since he had a red trainers shirt on. I thought planet fitness was horrible, come waste you're money on this gym.
After signing up and telling me I was not going to be charge for inscription and yearly fee I sign up. Now the 90 day pass and I'm been charge I call and they say that didn't happen they don't do it. I want to cancel and I can't due to the fact I sign up in march and need a whole year. This is the most ridiculous shit ever why say some when you are going to change it.
The gym itself is nice but getting crowded now. Also after a year of membership, they will increase your membership. They will encourage you to renew your membership so you get a cheaper monthly fee. But then once you renew, they will charge you with a $50.00 charge for maintenance and housekeeping. Why would a health club charge members to keep their facility clean.
Worst gym ever. First off, because the gym has $10 memberships it always packed with groups of people, so even when you go at nonpeak times (8 pm or later) groups of people surround machines so you can't use anything to get a good workout in. My fiancé and I joined with the $10 and $25 memberships. I've been going to this gym for two years and for the most part have loved it. However, recently the maintenance on their machines has been lacking. Currently three out of four of their pulley machines are broken... two of which have been broken for weeks if not months and have yet to be fixed. Last week someone had their finger crushed by a weight in a machine and there was blood all over the machine. I'd like to add....Don't get a membership. They will be taking my "membership" money until October. It will take an act of God to withdraw before it ends. P.S.- Jen, I don't need to talk to anyone there because you can't do anything. I've talked with about 3 other people.
