I sent an email to the edgeditness ad suggested on here. And Surprise no one got back to me. As usual Great customer service
I filled out a seven day free trial for this gym. Upon arrival they asked for an ID. As I gave them my drivers license to prove who I am they said that they will keep this for the seven days during the trial. I smiled, chuckled a little bit and walked out scratching my head. Are you kidding? Keeping my legal ID? Really?
Came here for the first time today to inquire about a seven day pass and membership and left after less than 5 minutes because the staff was so immediately condescending and rude that it gave me whiplash. I would suggest to whoever is in charge that they invest in some customer service and hospitality training because I've never gotten such bad customer service anywhere before. (And from the "GM" no less) "Oof" is how I would sum up my experience there.
came in to the club today fully prepared to commit to full membership for me and my partner. Received the rudest welcoming I think I have ever had in my 25 years of not only going to gyms but teaching yoga/spin in gyms. Walked in in great spirits and was very positive and kind to staff who immediately met that with indifference. Specifically Naomi the "gm" who I made sure to get her name as I left. This place is actually awful. Let's put aside the fact that unqualified people are giving nutrition and workout advice. When I tried to pause my subscription because I injured my knee, a man named Byron answered my email telling me that I should send them a doctor's report. I told him that I didn't have health insurance, and he said that it was needed and that I would need to continue to pay. I called recently to put in a request to not renew my membership in accordance to what I was told the last time I went in and that was to call into cancel one month before my membership would be scheduled for renewal. I did call and was directed to ABC financial. My experience with customer service was absolutely horrible and very misleading. I signed up for Edge Cranston in Oct 2019 prior to opening. I Was told I would get $20 for every referral. I got at least 4 people sign up and never got any referral fees. Mentioned it multiple times to edge associates last year and was told "yeah everyone keeps saying that". Today I was told "marketing handles that". Everyone keeps passing the buck. I enrolled in this gym when it had not yet opened in October 2019. I agreed to a one-year contract that included the monthly fee plus a charge of $ 49.99 once a year. I only attended a couple of months due to COVID, there was a time that they remained closed and they credited us. This gym refused to put a one month hold on my account due to covid and the customer service rep was outright rude and demanded a medical note for cancelling my account? Like, you're a gym, calm down. Unbelievable that I choose to work out and give my money to edge and they will not help in the middle of a pandemic. Terrible way to treat customers.
