Excellent service. We sat at the bar and had positive interactions with the staff who clearly were trying to please. Drinks and food top-notch. Loved the ambience and decor. Can’t wait to return.
Great service, great food, and great cocktails! Came on opening day and they nailed it! So beautiful inside!! The vibe was perfect!
I have been couple of times to The Fountain Room, and go out for dinner very often. I can see the quality of the food has dramatically decreased vs the price. The location / vibe is great, but does not match at all the quality of food. I was really disappointed with the last visit. Bit overpriced vs what you get back. The restaurant requires a real step up @ the kitchen.
Steaks were awful. Tasted poorly and cooked terribly. Very disappointing for a place I was looking forward to brining my mother to.
First, the restaurant is very appealing and handsome. Our server, Daniel, was good except he claimed they have the best steak in town. They don’t- not even close. My Wagyu filet was cooked to the proper temp but I feel like they forgot to season it. The Brie Brûlée was good but complete disappointment in my steak. There are much better places to dine in Indy. This place is “fine.”
We ordered a 16 oz ribeye to share and the meat was thin, over 50% fat and grizzle, but tasted good.
Too expensive for the type of food and the server was not attentive.
Food was sub par. Restaurant was obnoxiously loud, felt like I was in a bar. Would NOT recommend this for any type of special event such as an anniversary.
Hyped restaurant, disappointed with execution. The service was slow; I had let the restaurant know it was my wife's birthday at the time of booking, which was acknowledged when the waiter came to our table. We ordered a dessert, which he initially said would have a candle, but it was forgotten. When I asked, he said he had forgotten and there was nothing he could do at that point. The waiter was disengaged and just rushed us through like cattle. For the price paid, I would expect more. Not a great birthday choice.
