This restaurant was just alright for me. I did not like that their overpriced steak did not include a side and I had the beef short rib that was way more fat than meat. I told the waitress and she just shrugged it off. I will not go there again.
Highly overrated. Very pricey for what you receive. "Smashed potatoes" are not small boiled potatoes that have been deep-fried --they should not comprise about 70% of what is on the plate, either. The brisket in the "hash" was so fatty it was inedible. Chimichurri sauce out of a bottle. Could barely here the waitress over the "Brunch DJ." Tried to reach out to the restaurant directly, but never heard back. Would not return.
We ate here on Mothers Day so expected some less than average service and that happened. We felt pushed to order fast and be out the door fast. Mother’s meal came out 10-12 minutes before everyone else’s meals which was not ok at all and no one was ever around to check. Staff working did not want to give us new silverware after having used it on a crab appetizer. When asked one worker said no that is what you get unless you need a steak knife, which isn’t high end service. We likely won’t be back but tried it.
Very rude hostess with blonde hair, younger working the front. We won’t be returning due to her disrespect.
I recently visited The Fountain Room and, unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. While the food we tried was genuinely good, the atmosphere and service made us feel completely unwelcome. From the moment we arrived, the staff lacked warmth, and our server had a noticeably unpleasant attitude. It created such an uncomfortable environment that we ultimately decided to leave before finishing our visit. Good food can’t make up for poor hospitality, and I hope the restaurant takes steps to improve how guests are treated.
My steak was over cooked. The cauliflower was not good and came out cold. Everything else was good
Went here for an anniversary dinner. Great service, not so great food. Lasagna was asked for without mushrooms and still came with mushrooms. Steak was supposed to be medium and came well done. After all that, paid $75 for an overcooked steak and overall way too much money for not so good food.
I thought the food was delicious but found aluminum foil in my mashed potatoes so beware.
The customer service was excellent! The waiter was attentive and knowledgeable. However, the drinks, appetizers, and entrees were disappointing. The lobster dip was bland and lacked seasoning. It was also broken. All the entrees, except for the fish, were overcooked and lacked flavor. It was just one step above terrible. We had driven from Detroit to Indianapolis to watch a movie and celebrate my friend’s birthday. Unfortunately, the dinner ruined the entire trip.
