The venue is gorgeous. Kept well clean and able to accommodate most any bride. Melissa Austin our wedding planner that was provided by the venue was also fantastic. That is unfortunately where our praise ends. The contracted vendors with the vendor were sub par. DJ didn’t play our requested playlist. Even after having specific and detailed conversations about how important the music choices were to our special day. Our florals were sub par. Paid for specific arrangements that were never received. There are several reasons for my rating. There was a general lack of communication from the venue staff. I had emailed with the general manager, Raegan, several times, but never met her in person. I know she was out for a bit for personal reasons, but we never saw her once, not even on my wedding day. The Walters Wedding Estates company has breathtakingly beautiful venues, but that is all you're getting out of booking with them. Do a quick google search and you'll find all the couples who are dealing with a nightmare during COVID because of this company. They gave no options for postponing except for during the initial shutdown. So for brides like me, with a date during the peak of the fall, we were given no choices. This venue has not been accommodating at all with COVID. I've started calling back in May about rescheduling. I was told I was unable because my date is so late in Nov. If I did early, it would be considered as a cancellation. In contract, cancellation is a forfeit of all cost. I kept calling back almost monthly to ask how about now...I was told they can have private events until state has a mandate lockdown. Don't be fooled by the beautiful venue- it's NOT worth it! Yes the venue looks amazing but the staff was so unprofessional and was hands down the most stressful part of the wedding planning process. The staff is completely disorganized and double booked our wedding date so we had to change it and double booked our final venue meeting. Unfortunately our experience was less than admiring. Before the wedding day, we had constant issues with scheduling meetings and getting the staff to agree and recognize what the other staff had told us about catering, payments, and that they don't schedule anything on the weekends other than the wedding itself. But they won't tell you any of this when you fork over thousands of dollars and try to schedule months in advance. I got married on July 2nd, 2017. Let me start by saying Morgan Creek Barn is an absolutely stunning and amazing wedding venue. I had close to 200 guests at my wedding and the reception still felt open with a very large space in the middle for a dance floor. The staff is pleasant over the phone. Hard to get ahold of anyone. Has more than one wedding a day so it is not yours to decorate till an hour and a half before your ceremony time

As mother of the bride, I wanted to add to the review from Jessica M on 6/27/2017. As we look back at pictures and videos from that day, we realize it was really a beautiful wedding and the venue itself really added to the day. However, I would like to add a few comments about the management and service for you to consider before you invest thousands of dollars at this venue.
