We had a very nice tour. The Director of sales was personable, knowledgeable and helpful. It was nice meeting a few newer residents who are very happy with the Residence at Boylston Place.
I found it informative & helpful in answering many of my questions & concerns. I only had a virtual tour but hope to see it in person when I’m in the area.

It's a very classy place. The staff took good care of my dad and were also very caring to me and my sister during an extremely difficult time.

Admin staff is missing (to be hired), out on leave, new, or covering from other properties leading to confusion or referrals to other team members. Very few longer tenured admin folks. Perhaps there is high turnover in this industry due to stress? Perhaps the Executive Directors need more administrative support? All staff and employees are polite and friendly but not as efficient and timely as I would expect for an upscale Residence in this location and at this price point.
To qualify ratings: admin turnover has been concerning, ranging from Exec Director to Financial Director to Head of Health/Nursing and Activities Director. The number and diversity of activities have decreased. To me this is the biggest issue. Unclear why staff turnover is occurring. Friendliness score high because of the everyday staff/aides who work very hard and are very amiable and attentive. My fear is that these folks working for an hourly wage don't get paid enough. I would just say that the transition to senior living is (usually) a very difficult and stressful process. Ours was complicated by my father's serious hospitalization right before him moving in to Boylston Place. The team at Boylston....the sales director to the director of memory care to the head of nursing....went above and beyond to make it a smooth transition. We chose The Residence at Boylston Place because of the familiar location and nearby for me, the responsible person for my friend; easy walk to lots of stores and restaurants; newly redecorated; seemed upscale compared to others we toured; food we sampled was good; friendly admin( but now four have left) Activities have decreased a lot. This is perhaps due to staff leaving and short-staffing. But I find it unsettling. Also I think there are still vacant apartments.
