We enjoyed visiting with Debbie Petrone. Although, the smell lead me astray. Out of our NJ visits this came in second only because it had a Philly connection. Have to admit, we had to change the visitation around and Debbie was extremely accommodating. She also gave us an Emeritus location in MD.
Mother liked the music they have and the look of the residents. Clean place. Nice dining facility
My loved one was previously a resident at The Residence at Cherry Hill. I'm not sure if I would recommend this facility to others, based on our experience. My loved one was left unattended often in the dining area and fell multiple times. We never received a call or email expressing condolences from management.
Don't put your family there. They are severely understaffed, they did not fulfill the level of care we were paying extra for. There was a constant fight with them to do their job; they were careless in the care of my mother, resulting in her ending up in the hospital. In a critical situation, one of their aides didn't even know what a DNR meant. She told me, "Well your mom has a DNR". I had to inform her that a DNR only stands if she's having a heart attack, but for a stroke, they should call 911. We moved her out of there b... read more
Business response:
It is unfortunate that your mother’s care needs grew to be greater than that which we are licensed to provide. This can be very frustrating, we understand, and are sorry that it did not match your expectations for what an Assisted Living community license allows for. Your candor is appreciated and we take all of your concerns to heart. We rely on this kind of feedback to not only understand where we may have fallen short, but to improve the quality of what we do across the board. Please feel free to contact us directly if yo... read more
It is an older building so the community is not as bright and shiny, but it is well kept. The staff members we did meet with were nice. The actual care our loved one received while she was there was decent, but the problem was their communication. They did not seem to keep us informed with anything regarding our loved one, we were the ones constantly reaching out asking questions. We asked them initially what the difference was between assisted living and memory care and they said pretty much nothing. However that was not th... read more
We found Atria Cherry Hill to be a very difficult facility to deal with. Their office staff was unprofessional and hard to work with. My mother in law was approved to move into the Assisted Living section on [date removed]. We paid the month in full at the beginning of March. The management met my mother in law at the time we gave them her check. We filled out piles of required paperwork and submitted all required documentation from her PCP, insurance company, bank. However, the facilty had to send their nurse out to my moth... read more
Their care was good in terms of assisted living, but they had some personnel issues. people were leaving, and they were having trouble with man power, and they were short staffed. The chef left and they were faking it for quite a while, and the food was bad. They had assigned seating, and they didn't offer to help when there was another resident causing problems. There were people on the verge of being in the memory unit, and causing trouble at meals, and that made for an unhappy social environment. Management was not doing ... read more
