We went to The Rim tonight for a special girls night out. The atmosphere was great. A lively place with good energy. From the host stand to the waitress and food delivery, the service was awesome. Sadly, the food is where it went down hill. I feel like I should say that we REALLY wanted to like it, it just didn't happen. We ordered two appetizers: queso and the brussel sprouts. The seating is pretty comfortable and we were seated immediately on arrival. The Brussels sprouts were awesome but the Queso was mediocre. I ordered some Ranch to dip the Brussels sprouts in, which made them more delicious and then later the half and half while others at my table ordered the haute dog, shrimp po boy and pizza. Most of it sounded better on the menu than it actually tasted. My biggest complaint and lower rating comes with the fact that you will charged for every single side of sauce you request. Margaritas were bad, chips and queso bad.. didn’t like the environment. Super disappointing.
The atmosphere was cool and the server was good but I was not impressed with the food or the selection of craft beer, especially for the extremely high price of it all. Maybe be better for people with different tastes but we won’t be going back.
Poor selection of beers unless you like IPAs, MILK stouts or domestic swill. Maybe they’ll get it together in 6 months or so.
Not overly impressed. $25 for 1 drink and a salad. Shrimp salad had 4, yes just 4 shrimp that were over cooked to the point of not even able to cut with my knife. Drink was good though.
What a great looking restaurant inside and out. It was clean, as well as the restroom. Upon entering, the hostess had her back to me while she maintained a conversation with what I later could see was a server. He did notice me standing behind the hostess. We made eye contact. Would like my $8.00 cocktail to be a full drink. My lemon drop martini was excellent...but more like the size of a double shot than a cocktail.
