Located in Northern California’s Mendocino County there is a skunk running through the redwood forest, but this isn’t any skunk, it’s the world famous Skunk Train. The California redwoods, pristine coastline, and award winning vineyards are all a part of the landscape of what makes Mendocino County such an amazing place and home to this 131-year-old train.

The skunk train is very relaxing as you go through the woods. It was raining when I went and I sat in a covered car and stood outside. The experience was awesome. It’s so worth the time to get there. I can’t wait to go again.
A super awesome, one of a kind, magical experience! I can’t wait to ride it again this summer! Thank you Skunk Train staff! You made my experience amazing! 😘

The echo of the train whistle through the hills and valleys left me reminiscing about days of old. All the train personnel were knowledgeable about the history, flora and fauna along the route. They even seemed fr... read more
