Lack of proactive communication to advise on delays. Did not keep team, buyers or sellers advised of situation related to delays in obtaining appraisals. When pushed to explain, it was adequate, friendly and professional. Don’t consider it acceptable to ever state that you are busy and that contributed to delays. Electronic document system was excellent and easy to use. Overall, an impersonal customer experience that had to be consumer driven.

Just overall the process was very frustrating and requirements were not clear on what was needed and seemed to keep changing week to week.

The number of documents required was absurd.

We felt that information wasn’t communicated well between the home builder and the lender and we were the middle man attempting to communicate information from one party to another. We would have liked more information and better communication on exactly what documents were needed and when. It got complicated and rushed towards the end. Appraiser was stingy about superficial items on the house that would delay closing if they weren’t fixed. Items that are small and insignificant.

Failed to meet our agreed upon closing date which was discussed months before closing and closed a week late which cost me ~$600 in construction loan interest and utilities.
