brother toner Much better than the store brand. Worth the extra money. I tried staples and other store brands to save money, but they never print as well.
Note Many Copies from this Toner Cartridge I was excited to obtain this brand-name toner cartridge at about 40% less than retail price in early January 2014. However, on April 11, after printing no more than 1,000 copies, I received an error message that instructed me to move the drum cleaner tab back and forth a few times. A few copies later, I was told to repeat that maneuver, and if that didn't work, then I needed to replace the toner. Short life span - started leaking toner everywhere Seemed to be fine at first, but then started leaking toner all over the paper tray. It continued to print, but all of the pages had toner smears on the edges.
I'm suspicious of those 1 star reviews saying these aren't Brother cartridges I read all those posts saying these aren't real Brother cartridges. Mine came in today and it's exactly as shown and described. Amazon wouldn't allow it to be sold if it wasn't as shown/described. I tried refilled cartridges before and some have been okay and some terrible. My last one was purchased from another seller on Amazon with a very high rating but I didn't read all the 1 star reviews they had which stated smudging, leaking, streaky, etc. I... read more
Brother Toner This toner works well but runs out too quickly and costs too much. Compatible toners are not satisfactory. I'll consider a different model for my next printer/all in one.
Low toner warnings - argh Please sell a printer or toner cartridge that lets you keep printing until the pages start going white and streaky! Not sure if it's the toner or my printer, but the printer will refuse to print with a low toner error even though the pages look perfectly fine. I am convinced they just count how many pages you've printed and set the cartridge to end of life after that many pages, even if they were all mostly blank. It's Toner I don't how/why I need to rate toner but yeah, okay, I ordered it, it arrived, I'm using it. I hate the fact that it costs so much, but hey....Brother is the best printer out there for me.
"Change toner cartridge" warning, again, again . . . After I used up the factory cartridge that came with the printer, I looked for after-market cartridges for less $. It functioned OK for a while but the longevity was disappointing- I won't go back to that.
