The Maitre de and wait staff are so welcoming and gracious, you feel like they have been waiting for you alone to arrive! We love the service, the food and the atmosphere. I highly recommend Trattoria Dell’Arte for special occasions but for those nights that you want to be treated as if you are special! We look forward to a return visit soon.
We went there due to it being close to our hotel. I asked a couple locals about it and they didn’t know anything. But the food was wonderful! My wife got the lasagna and I got the chicken pepperoni parm. They both were great. Sage was our waiter and took great care of us. This is a definite place to visit when you are in NY.
They made us feel very welcome, returning 24 years later to the restaurant where we celebrated our engagement. Thank you!

Wonderful service and excellent food! We will definitely return next time we are in town. They even adjusted some menu items for youngsters in our group and went above and beyond with everything!
One of the BEST Italian restaurants in NYC. Often overlooked by reviewers because its been around so long. BUT you can't beat the food ( kind of like mama used to make if you're Italian ), the antipasti bar is extraordinary and always delicious with lots of super fresh choices, the service is friendly and excellent while never being overbearing, and the ambiance just makes you feel welcome and comfortable.
