Service and food were both excellent. Very busy restaurant. The lady at the coat check was a great personality
After waiting to be seated (with reservation), we were seated at table in noisy area with large parties (Christmas season - to be expected to some point). When I asked them for quiet table (as I had on reservation) they got us table upstairs in quiet corner shortly. Very responsive, with a smile, and from there food, service, etc. EXCELLENT

Where to begin....This is an iconic NY experience from A-Z but guess what? They leave the pretention behind and care instead, about your experience. We were there last Sunday and sat at a table centrally located. Michael the Maitre D' shuffled some tables for us and Guy the manager seated us. Sage was our super accommodating waiter who entertained us as the night went on- as well as the other wonderful staff buzzing around us to leave nothing overlooked from beginning to end. By far the best Italian we’ve ever had . Lasagna is unbelievable as was the ravioli . Tiramisu to die for! Such a gem !!
When we arrived shortly before our reservation time the line to check in was literally out the door with approx. 25 people waiting to check in. They only had one guy working the desk and it took almost 20 minutes to get checked in. They then wanted to seat us in the busy bar area where everyone was waiting in line to check in but we refused.
