We have eaten at the Trattoria on and off for many years and always appreciated the food, the atmosphere and the service. Dinning here on Sunday evening, the food was, as always, wonderful. But I was disappointed with the service.We arrived at 5:30, before the rush, and the restaurant already seemed lightly staffed. Our waiter was pleasant and our food was served quickly, but after being served, he seemed to be covering too many tables and did not check in. Getting coffee and desert took a while. One of my NYC favorite places to eat! They always deliver fantastic food, excellent service, and a gracious wait staff. The ambiance and art set a delightful dining mood.
