The food was wonderful here. Everything from Caesar salad to the best cannolis ever. Unfortunately, our very friendly and personable waiter and busboys rushed us terribly. We were asked to order within minutes of getting our menus. Our entrees were on the table while we still had appetizers in front of us. Some of our party hadn’t finished dinner when dessert offerings were made and served. You’ll love this restaurant if you can eat really fast.
Food was average at best. We all had pasta dishes (spaghetti and meatballs, lobster spaghetti and ravioli) they came out in about 5 minutes which is usually a bad sign, not fresh. I wish I tried the pizza which looked good. Appetizers weren’t much better. One positive was the service was very good.
My family and I were all very pleased with our dinner and the service. The garlic bread and cannolis were outstanding!!
Trattoria del Arte is a welcoming restaurant with pleasant surroundings and good service. The problem is the very mediocre pre-prepared food for most menu items. The vegetable plate is not attractive or really freshly cooked and my appetizer, octopus and calamari came covered in a heavy tomato sauce from which one could fish out bits of octopus and calamari. This was our third visit since it is so convenient to Carnegie Hall, but all have been disappointments. We shall look further afield next time, unfortunately.
It was a perfect meal and a delightful experience. We had wonderful service, a delicious dinner and will be back soon.
Out go to place when in carnegie hall area. Great service snd food.
The restaurant is too noisy! It’s a big room, but for some weird reason they sit everyone together, so you have to put up with loud people around you.
The host (Michael E) welcomed us with champagne and Happy Birthday wishes. It was so sweet!! The special dessert was wonderful as well. Thanks for making it a great end of my birthday!
Really good food. Service was slow but waiter made up for it with some free appetizers. tables are very crowded together. Nice waiters and service. Felt very authentic. I would go again for sure.
