The food and service at Trattoria Dell'Arte is always very good. We had an exceptionally good waiter tonight and we filled ourselves up on their specialty chicken pepperoni parm.
We're New Yorkers and I suppose TdA has a tourist reputation but we still love it...many visits over many years...usually pre-Carnegie Hall. Some of the sauces on the various pastas can be a tad rich, as well as the tab, but overall, just a fun, delightful dining experience.
Delicious meal and great service. Always a pleasure.
Food was good, portions are huge. Only bad note was the unpleasant server who seemed to hate his job-unpleasant, unsmiling, and unhelpful.

The Maitre de and wait staff are so welcoming and gracious, you feel like they have been waiting for you alone to arrive! We love the service, the food and the atmosphere. I highly recommend Trattoria Dell’Arte for special occasions but for those nights that you want to be treated as if you are special! We look forward to a return visit soon.
We went there due to it being close to our hotel. I asked a couple locals about it and they didn’t know anything. But the food was wonderful! My wife got the lasagna and I got the chicken pepperoni parm. They both were great. Sage was our waiter and took great care of us. This is a definite place to visit when you are in NY.
