I had high hopes for this place given its location across the street from Carnegie Hall, but to be honest, the totally straightforward Italian food and option for late-night dining was the best thing about it. I tend to stay in the area on biz trips and this is my go to for first night in town. They accommodate you any time, food is good, service is warm and friendly. Very convenient to Carnegie Hall if you're going for a performance.
Sage is one of best servers I have had. He’s really great and a treasure for Trattoria.
This place is absolutely amazing. Christian and the staff make you feel welcomed and they are so friendly and accommodating. This was my fourth time visiting in two years. If you are looking for good but not special then this works but I was expecting better. It is convenient to Carnegie Hall that's for sure. Cocktails were fine but pricey. Appetizers were fine but not as good as the price would have indicated. Someone could have chopped up the lettuce for the caesar rather than presenting a plate of whole leaves.
