Very very loud and crowded. Food was decent, but overpriced for the restaurant.
The food was good as usual. The gentlemen acting as hosts seemed incredibly disorganized. I had to wait over 10 minutes just to give him the name on the reservation. For a staff that has been with this restaurant for as long as they have I would have expected more professional behavior... busy or not. Very rude. If I want the food again I’ll go to Cafe Fiorello.
Always good somehow our order got lost, but staff were more than gracious and would come back again. We have dined there before and always had a good experience.life and the restaurant business are full of problems it depends on how you handle them and staff handled them very well. Mju
It was our 25th Anniversary so we chose the restaurant because of its location to Carnegie Hall and subways. Although we were concerned about gluten free options, my wife was able to find a wonderful dinner with fish. I had the 101 lasagna and it was incredible. Food was great but Gabriel and the rest of the staff were friendly and very kind to us, in a way that made the entire experience memorable. Thank you!
Carnegie performance
The staff (particularly the managers) are always welcoming to everyone and very careful and accommodating with my severe food allergy. I think some of the clients come back just because Raymond is so kind to them. The menu is varied enough to make everyone happy, and the portions are just right. It is consistent and always worth a return visit.
Great management expert waitstaff and good-enough food are unfortunately no match for the dinner hour crowd.
Pre theater on a Sat and it was a zoo, though we were seated close to our res time. The food was good and came quickly and the waitstaff were great. I did not like the Maitre D though. He was distracted and seemed mostly concerned with greeting regulars. I get it as it’s a tourist spot but still more eye contact and graciousness goes a long way. The upstairs seating is quieter but low ceiling makes you feel like Siberia.
