Hadn’t been here in years and was really looking forward to dining there during a trip to NYC. Trattoria still impressive after all these years; so much so, we dined there twice during our stay. The food and the staff are all awesome and there’s something on the menu to please everyone. And the coffee and desserts are to die for and the perfect end to a wonderful meal. Too touristy and inconsistent portions (served around us). Would not go back.
I have eaten here many times and the food never disappoints. We were a party of four and everyone loved their entrees. We all had the artichokes for an appetizer and they were wonderful. Our waiter, Mark, was excellent.
I have always enjoyed the menu at Trattoria Over the years BUT the chairs need upholstering so you don’t sit on torn seats. The stair going up to the green room level was patched with duct tape and some of the linens had holes. It is time to spruce up!
Always my go to before a concert a Carnegie Hall. Host/hostess always seats me per my requests. Michael, our server, was wonderful, as usual. Sitting by the window in the front is quieter than the rest of the restaurant, as is a back booth. All good and consistent.
The Staff is considerate and very helpful. Always great fun at this restaurant and the food is great especially the think crust pizza.

I love the veal chop Milanese. That’s my go to dish here along with a pizza appetizer. The Dover Sole is also very good. Do t get the Veal Piccata. It wasn’t prepared in the traditional way. Great antipasto bar. I’d go back. Pizza is a very thin crust and excellent.
