I had a reservation for this busy location across from Carnegie Hall and around the corner from my accommodations. I have eaten in NYC many times as I lived nearby for many years. The whole Branzino was expertly prepared and delivered in a reasonable amount of time. My only negative issue, even with having a reservation, is what appears to be a single diner penalty. its always been a favorite restauant of mine, they always honor their reservations and the food is always consistant
We needed a place to eat on a Saturday night and foolishly hadn't booked anything. I pulled up Trattoria dell'Arte on my phone, and we had a table within 15 minutes. The portions are enormous (we both took some home) and the wine was great. I would come here again if I were in town for a show.
It was like being back in Italy, delicious and everything tasted homemade. Very busy and loud though. We were glad to have a reservation.

It’s always an extraordinary experience to enter this establishment. Everyone greets you with love and kindness. Brandon is always quick to say hello to you with a smile, and our waiter Mike is extraordinary! Thanks to John at the bar that made our night really special. We love coming there and it’s always our go to spot in New York City.
The food was excellent, and the service was attentive without being obtrusive. The tables are TIGHT, even by NYC standards, but still a good choice. We will definitely return.
Fantastic food and great atmosphere!! We were served quickly and given great suggestions by our waiter, who was so nice and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed it and we’ll be back on our next visit to NYC.
