This restaurant is very convenient to Carnegie Hall. However, that and perhaps high rents, result in a restaurant that is acceptable but not great. We got the impression they are accustomed to serving mostly tourists, at least on the weekend. We were served reasonably quickly though the server did not return to take our wine order. We all ordered fish - baked snapper, snapper livornese and tuna - all of which were mediocre yet fairly expensive. Nice Italian Restaurant located Close to Central Park. Good atmosphere and you want be disappointed neither about the Food nor about the Service.

Very good and tasty Italian food. I love the Snapper Livornese. I go to this restaurent every time I am in New York. This time the service particularly the waiter assistants need to be trained in setting up the table and how to set the cutlery . he was throwing them in front of the guests as if his job is only to bring them from the drawer to the table. the deserts were served without cutlery.
Outstanding in every way.
Everything was good. I bought a really nice bottle of wine which was poured into a decanter. The captain kept pouring into my dates glass which I was annoyed by because I wanted to enjoy my time with her versus rush out or slam down another $150 bottle. I won't go back.
Great food, extraordinary service, open late for dinner after the theater. Don't be fooled by the outdoor tables, which aren't that appealing. Go inside and have a great meal!
I have eaten at this restaurant several times over the last few years. It is always dependable to deliver a great meal. Although I usually don't repeat restaurants on my visits to New York, but I make an exception here. I have to come back!
