We went to NY for 4 days. This was by far the best meal we had. We are from Boston and this was one of the best Italian meals I have ever had including most of the restaurants in Boston's Italian North End. would recommend to anyone
This was my first time at the restaurant. Looking for something in the neighborhood and stumbled upon this great Italian restaurant. Even though it was crowded, we were seated fairly quickly, and attended to immediately. Our waiter was wonderfully "Italian", with a beautiful accent and personality, and knowledgeable about the menu and the wine. Our table ordered pizzas, seafood parpadelle, and chicken parmesan. We had lunch here before going to the Downton Abbey exhibit around the corner. Four of us had the prix fix lunch and it was good. We didn’t have the pizza but it looked amazing. Meatballs were nothing special. Vegetable soup with poached egg was also very good. At end of meal, they come around with fresh baked cookies, that’s a lovely touch.
Awesome place. The service is outstanding! Strongly recommended.
I usually try to eat at the bar before going to Carnegie Hall (which is across the street). I come in from out of town, so it's convenient. I park in the garage next door and just walk across 7th Avenue to attend the concert. Don't even need a coat!~ The bartender, who is also the server if you sit at the bar, is attractive, friendly and very competent. I have been going there for years and find the place is quite friendly and comfortable.
Celebrating mid term exams, a nyc weekend, everyday special
Food was so-so. I got the filet mignon salad, ordered it medium rare, it was closer to well done. Decor is tacky, probably the original paint colors, etc, but it just looked dirty to me. Too loud to carry on a conversation and that seating that I hate where you are 2"from the person next to you. Overpriced for what you get. Everybody on staff was in a huge rush at all times.
i love this place for all occasions! Waiters ar nice --food is good--get there early !
Good food; good service. There isn’t much more to say.
