Had a wonderful dinner at Trattoria Dell'Arte, so much so we went back the following night. The food was very good, but the service was outstanding! Everyone we encountered, from the young lady at coat check, the manager at reservations, the bus boys, and most importantly, our server Taylor were exceptional! We have had exquisite meals ruined by bad service, and good meals made exceptional by outstanding service. I'll take the latter of the former any day!
We went for a late Brunch on a Sunday. The menu not only had "breakfast items" but also luncheon items. Thus all were able to order what they desired. Most ordered one of the lobster dishes and they were very pleased.
My experience at Trattoria dell'Arte was mixed this time. On the negative side I found the prices on the high side- higher than I remember. I also had a little trouble finding something on the menu that appealed. My appetizer was OK (only) and overpriced; the main course was heavy and salty. On the positive side, the service was very good, with helpful and friendly staff (who also provided 2 glasses of prosecco on the house). Loved it - went here twice and the service and food amazing - great tapas and everything we ate and drank was great - service very very good too. Very Italian and yum
The service was excellent. My starter, ribolita soup, was ordinary and lacked flavor. My chicken cacciatore was very good but I've had better. My wife's snapper entree was slightly overwhelmed with (tomato) sauce and the fish was a bit "mushy." This is one of our favorite restaurants when we visit NYC but I must say the food this time was disappointing. We sat on the second floor and enjoyed the ambiance and lack of noise.
It was our first time recommended by a friend. It had a nice ambiance. Brandon, the host was wonderful to seat people as quick as he could. Our server was Sarah, she took care of us very well. The food was excellent, the dessert was a little average but overall we loved the experience and would be back again.
Great service and ambiance followed by a varied menu of Italian traditional and also creative dishes. Would go again every time I am in NYC
Spaghetti Carbonara is one of my favorites! Staff is very attentive and friendly and goes the extra mile. I always visit this restaurant when in NYC.
Excellent NY Italian dining experience. Lovely atmosphere, good service and great food. Across the street from Carnegie Hall on 7th Ave.
