This restaurant was recommended by a friend a few trips back. We had been avoiding it because of fears of it being touristy because of it's location across from Carnegie Hall. Boy are we glad we decided to try it! From the bar to the dining room the whole experience was great. Friendly and helpful staff who all treat you like a regular. Service was great as was the food. This place was awesome! My daughter and I are foodies and we both agreed the meal and service was outstanding. We started with a nice glass of wine from their generous selection of vino, and then we shared a caprese salad appetizer. The tomatoes were huge and very fresh, the cheese was heavenly (I forget what kind of cheese they used, but it was even better than the buffalo mozzarella that normally accompanies this dish). It was our last night in New York City for a family trip and we thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant. The food was great, service wonderful and ambience excellent.
Wonderful atmosphere and fantastic food. The staff is friendly knowledgeable and professional. The waiter help pair wine with our meal. If in NYC definite place to visit!
We will be back for sure. The food and ambiance is wonderful and our waiter and the manager were so attentive and kind. There are many great restaurants in Manhatten so we rate by comparison so Trattoria Dell'Arte would be a five-star in any other major city.
