The restaurant is roomy and pleasant ambience. The food was tasty but our appetizer of calamari and octopus contained very small pieces, heavily sauced and not very fresh. The main courses were better though the presentation of the tuna steak and liver were not appealing and the scallops too few in number; particululary given the price. Probably will avoid going back in the future since we have other options nearby. It's a pity.
DELICIOUS food, WONDERFUL service and GREAT ambiance.
Got a quick reservation on the busy holiday weekend. Was greeted fondly by several members of the staff and the place smelled amazing. The chicken Parmesan was served like a small pizza...super thin and absolutely fantastic. We had the 101 lasagna and seafood risotto as a complement. Cocktails were served instantly to make the meal that much better. Great for small or large family groups. Best meal in NYC yet!
Excellent for lunch. The staff is very friendly and pass out snacks from savory muffins to cookies. The flatbread pizzas especially the white mushroom pizza are delicious. Selections from the available antipasto table totally complement the meal.
Still a sure bet after all these years.
The food was fabulous as usual. The staff is friendly and professional and they are extremely accommodating. I requested to have the zucchini and squash "pasta" with the white clam sauce and they were happy to make it. It was so tasty and delicious that I can't wait to go back and have it again. Great Pizzas, small regional wine least but good value for food and wines. Dinning area is noisy and hard to have conversations at table.
Even though we were tired from the day's activities, we had a wonderful time at this charming italian restaurant. There were even enough delicious selections for the vegetarians in our group.
Great menu and great food. very noisy and tables too close together. Difficulty getting in and out of seats. Can't have conversation because it is so loud. Can overhear other conversations.
