amazing service, good food! will definitely return.
We were in town to see a show and go out with some friends. My wife and I spent a few wonderful hours, sat at the bar and had an amazing meal and terrific service from the bartender Victor who took care of us and was a delight.
Trattoria dell'Arte typically has wonderful food and great service. My visit on this occasion, however, was disappointing. My branzino arrived after the dishes of my hosts.... and when it did, the fish was literally half raw (only one side was cooked!). I didn't mention it at the time because I didn't want to embarrass my hosts, but this was certainly a surprise since all of my previous visits to Trattoria had been very satisfactory and I would recommend this restaurant highly.
This restaurant has become one of our favorites and the one we are sure to return to each time we visit NYC. Always split the Chicken Milanese but one of these days we will try the pizza. Fun staff too.
The service and the food were great. The only problem was the noise level. We were in a booth in the back, which we requested and were given. There were a few big parties back there which made it very hard to have a conversation. Otherwise, food, service, ambiance were great.
Trattoria Dell'Arte went out of their way to make you feel welcome !
Great place. I've been there several times in a past life, but hadn't been for probably 10 years. Trattoria Dell'Arte's DEFINITELY still got it. And introduce yourself to Christian the maître d'...very interesting guy (speaks five languages, for example).
I have had the pleasure of dining at Trattoria Dell'Arte several times, and it just never disappoints. Tonight I brought several coworkers who equally enjoyed their dinners. Servings are large enough to share, so it you order apps and salads, consider it. The salads were fresh and perfectly dresses. The signature lasagna was fabulous, as we're both ravioli dishes. Go there.
I love this place! Sometimes the service lacks when they're busy though, which is often.
