The staff is lovely and made us feel at home; they were especially solicitous of a friend who arrived early. We had a very good meal before attending a concert across the street at Carnegie Hall. It was a pleasure.

I came to this restaurant because of the positive reviews. I really didn't see it as anything special. Dinner was pasta with seafood. The portion was on the small side but the food was good. The dessert was actually bigger than my dinner! The value is sketchy. One glass of wine, small entree, dessert and coffee was $65.00 (without tip!). The restaurant is large and every table was full. Even though they had a full house, the service did not suffer. It was noisy so keep that in mind. I enjoy Italian food every once in a while... read more

The waitress recommended the house speciality, which is lasagna. It wasn't very good and was only lukewarm. The ambiance is nice: kind of old-fashioned.

Food used to be much better....not sure I will make it there on my next visit to NYC. I'll look for something new.

Amazing place! Lasagna and Parmesan (chicken and veal) are to die for! Ask for hot cookies after the meal - tasty!

Wonderful, wonderful place. We always go when we are visiting from Atlanta. Everyone made us feel like family. We were near the check in table and all the guests were treated like family regardless of appearances. The maitre d went out of his way to help us. I was moaning about the Carnegie Deli being closed and wanting their cheesecake and he found me some at the restaurant's sister hotel next door!

In our tradition, my mother and I have been coming to NY for over ten years, always dining at Trattoria del'Arte on the Sunday night. We love it every single time. Great food, great service, great vibe.

We had a wonderful brunch for a party of 6! Food was great - restaurant was quiet at that time. Great Italian - old New York style dining experience
