Went to NYC with friends for the weekend and wouldn't miss the chance to go to this restaurant. I especially love the liver and onions but nothing on the menu would I skip. Desserts are fabulous!
This is our favorite New York restaurant. The service and food are both excellent!
Normally I wouldn't want to eat outside on a busy street like 7th Ave., but Trattoria dell'Arte has a big enough area for outside dining that you don't have to be smack on the sidewalk near foot and vehicular traffic. We got a lovely table near the open windows of the restaurant, under umbrellas, so it was not too noisy and not too hot. The food was delicious-- an excellent salad and personal pizza-- and our waiter exceptionally friendly and helpful. It was so pleasant that we almost forgot to make our curtain!
From beginning to end the experience was perfect. Honored the reservation for 6 people and the service and food were excellent. Lively crowd. Everyone enjoyed everything we ordered. Would recommend it to everyone.
The service was outstanding. We truly enjoyed our meal and would eat here again next time we are in NY.
I have been here several times over the years, and it's just not as good as it used to be. My seafood par parpadelle had one tiny shrimp, one scallop and two pieces of over cooked calamari. It was over salted and had definitely been sitting under the warmer for a while. Other people in my group had to send the risotto back because it was cold.
