This is for us one of those rare things, a neighborhood gem -- excellent food, fine friendly service, and stunning atmosphere. Every time we eat here we exit happy. If -- per chance -- some dish does not satisfy you, too salty, too picante , one can easily send it back without any trouble. This is a wonderful place to eat at any time

We went for a family dinner with both adults and teenagers and everyone fully enjoyed every bite of food that was delivered to the table. The antipasto assortment is the best in NYC and we delighted in introducing fiddlehead ferns to the teenage foodies-to-be as one of the antipasto selections. We chose Trattoria due to its location (across from Carnegie Hall) but were very impressed with the quality of the food and the excellence of the service. They accommodated our large party (12) easily. Everyone (children included although no kids' menu) enjoyed their meals, the desserts were wonderful and even those of us who didn't order dessert enjoyed our complimentary oatmeal cookies warm from the oven. We will definitely return.

We have been going to this restaurant since it opened and are never disappointed. The service is always great and the food is fantastic. Our favorite go-to restaurant in New York.

We recently dined at Trattoria Dell'Arte on a weekend evening. The food is great and the location is very convenient to Central Park and Carnegie Hall. What made this meal so special however was the incredibly attentive service of our waiter. Wish I could remember his name but he wears a hat and recognizable black round glasses. There was an unexpected rain that turned into a down pour and our waiter masterfully relocated us not once but twice due to shifts in the weather. He also brought us a free bottle of wine for our tro... read more

Was expecting flavors to be something a little more original or special. The food was good but not exceptional or something we couldn't have had at most other Italian restaurants, especially for the price.
