We had a lovely meal. We had the salmon and veal piccata. Both were perfectly prepared. The service was quick and friendly. We will definitely return the next time in town. The location is excellent if you wan to be close to the park or Carnegie Hall.
We truly enjoyed our dinner experience. Because of terrible traffic, we were 45 minutes late for our reservation. We called and they held our table and then served us quickly enough that we had plenty of time for our curtain time. The food was delicious, service rapid and precise. We look forward to returning.
Delightful.
When a restaurant has been around for so many years and is right next door to Carnegie Hall, you might think "tourist". Well New Yorker is the word. Tourists won't be turned away but New Yorkers know a great restaurant when they have eaten at one. Delicious food, great service, not too loud (at least in back rooms). One complaint, the chocolate mousse needs to sit room temperature for 45 minutes before serving. But it was delicious. One word. GO!
Had a wonderful window view onto 7th Ave. just below Central Park. Prices were Manhattan prices but the food was deliciously prepared and ample. We were not hurried and sat for a while after dinner with our tea. For a New Yorker the R subway is right out the front door, convenient.
We had an early meal prior to a theater production. Lovely quiet upstairs table. Excellent service and delicious food.
Really good cocktails. The food was just OK. Vibrant pre-theatre crowd. Friendly staff.
This is one of my favorite restaurants. Always a wonderful experience. Never a disappointment. Love the vegetables, the bread, pasta.
A lovely brunch experience with very pleasant service.
