This is a festive restaurant, in the sense that everybody seems to be talking to one another and having a good time. The food was excellent--wonderful selections, aesthetically plated, and, most of all, delicious. Although the noise level was a bit high for me, we managed to secure a booth along the wall, so it didn't distract much from the experience.
My visit was phenomenal. The greeter was very friendly and accomodating even though the line was almost out the door. It was busy but my and my wife sat down in less than 3 minutes. The waiter was attentive and our appetizers came out super quick. My seafood dish was sooooo good. I had to eat it slowly to savor the richness of the sauce, Then the canolli for dessert just put this place over the top. You re going to pay a premium but this place is well worth it,
Friendly service, thinnest pizza crust I've ever had, fun, delicious
When we walked in, the maitre'd was nice as can be, introduced us to our server, who he said was the "second-best server in New York City." WRONG. He was inattentive, slow to return to our table; granted, he was friendly, but we shouldn't have had to wait 15 minutes for him to come to our table after our plates were cleared and we were waiting for the check. I questioned whether he was just too busy, but he didn't have that many tables to manage--we had dinner the next night at another restaurant which was much busier, yet o... read more
The food was surprisingly very good, from start to finish and reasonable for a New York restaurant. This is a great place to dine before or after a concert at Carnegie Hall.
Interesting menu, a little pricey. large quantities of food on the plate. felt as if the server wasn't really paying attention, and she wasn't overly friendly. the ravioli was quite good.
The service was great, the food creative and delicious. The veal was done to perfection. Salads were split onto two places as we were sharing. It was good enough that we were walking by the next day and went in for the pizza for lunch. Thin crust, great mozzarella. Would recommend to any one
Branzino is the best! Always great food and fun. Service is excellent.
This restaurant is popular with those attending performances at Carnegie Hall . It is on the other side of 7th Avenue from the entrance to Carnegie Hall. On Thursday it was unbelievably crowded and noisy. The tables are close together, and ertainly not appropriate for anything other than a quick bite before a concert. We have other restaurants in this area of New York City that are preferable to this one. The menu is good, but expensive offerings.
