The staff was warm and welcoming, the food delicious! We can't wait to return.
Great, old school Italian. Can get a bit touristy (waiter was surprised that we were locals) and it gets people going to Carnegie Hall, but plenty of local actors/celebrities as well. Food is great and portions are generous to say the least. Service is great--very attentive and they always make you feel special. Waiter brought a free slice of cake and some limoncello when he overheard my daughter talking to my wife about it being her birthday. We had been referred to this restaurant and are greatful to our friends for the reference, The menu is varied, the veal marsala was ever so tasty, the service excellent, the staff and maitre'd were friendly and caring and the total experience was delightful.
The gentleman at the welcome desk smiled and shook our hand. So warm and kind. The pizza! Heavenly. So delicious.
Love it that they are open late. We like to eat late and they are extremely friendly and the food is excellent.

This is our second visit to this restaurant and it was as wonderful as the first. The warm and friendly staff make you happy to be there. Our appetizer of the arugula and beet salad was delicious. My husband had the Seafood Pappardelle which was excellent. I had the pesto ravioli which was tasty, but the pasta was too thick and tough. They finish off your meal with a plate of dark chocolate, cranberries and coconut, and walk around with a tray of warm homemade cookies, I would recommend Trattoria dell 'Arte!
Amazing in every aspect. Highly recommended.
I've loved the restaurant for years, but I'm still surprised that their table service is as slow as it is. Fortunately the wait staff are generally good natured and friendly!
