After a 6 hour drive into NYC, this restaurant was our favorite of the whole weekend. Food was great and the service was incredible. The waiter was happy to accommodate our kids (who only like penne in butter sauce) and was very fun and pleasant. Would definitely go back.
Trattoria Dell'Arte continues to provide an outstanding dining experience. The food is great, the staff knowledgeable, the environment friendly and General Manager Brandon makes you feel like family. There is a reason it's been around for decades. Enjoy!
The service and food is always great at this resturant, this last dinner I have probably the best soft shell crabs evern the home made pasta is 2nd to none, and the staff is always friendly and attentive!
Greatest Antipasto in the town! There are a lot to choose from and you can't really make bad choices. And I thought that could replace the meal!
I think their selection of appetizers has gotten smaller. Although it had fried baby artichokes (judaica), it was somewhat disappointing. other appetizers, pizza and veal Milanese, however, were good. Getting very pricey - $200 for that (veal - $50)
Love coming here because of the depth of the menu selections. My party had four different entrees all of which were excellent. Waiter was very helpful on a chianti selection which was excellent and his familiarity with the menu
The place is always packed so conversation is difficult. Very, very noisy. Food is good and dependable, but not out of the ordinary. If going to Carnegie Hall, it's a good choice, but there are many better and more reasonable Italian restaurants in the area and the City.
I've eaten here many times over many years. It used to be sensational, then merely very good, but lately, the past three years, it's been mediocre in every way, especially the attitude of the maitre d'. Reservations were not honored, and it was a mess. VOILA !!!!! New maitre d', new wait staff, and I don't know what's going on in the kitchen, but the food was terrific. We added a note in our reservation that we were celebrating a 25th and 35th wedding anniversary so we asked for a quiet part of the restaurant. There were 8 of us. They have a private wine tasting room that was not reserved that night so we were able to have our celebration in there. It was fabulous. Whenever we visit NY we make a point of going to Trattoria dell Arte because the service is unmatched and the entire experience is never disappointing.
