We arrived as it started to rain, or we would have asked to sit outside. Inside was a little noisy, but we could still converse. My beet salad was great, and my husband enjoyed his Caprese salad, but I wish we had ordered the antipasto bar - it looked wonderful. Our pasta dishes were very good, but dessert was amazing. The cannoli and tiramisu were so good!! Portions are quite large, so two could share.
At recommendation of friends made a reservation for 10 for Sunday brunch. restaurant was empty and we were seated in the back of the restaurant near the noisy wait station where the serveware was being washed. no traffic in the restaurant at all - don't understand why we couldn't have been seated in a more favorable location. Service was outstanding.
Go here every year, always my first stop.Great food and service.Nice to eat outside and people watch or cozy up to the bar.Love it.!!!
We always start with the most fabulous thin pizza in NYC. Fish is always fresh.
We've come here a number of times over the years with our family. This time it was just the two of us and we were not disappointed. The food is fabulous and the wait staff friendly, helpful and prompt. The Fried artichoke was delicious and unique. Bronzino was very flavorful. The only negative is that the tables for two are super close together but that is not unusual for NY.
A bit pricey but excellent service and good food. We had dinner here two nights while staying at the Hilton Club New York. My husband and I shared an seafood antipasto appetizer, Lasagna bolognese and three scoops of pistachio gelato the first night and we shared a thin crust pizza, two beers, one cappuccino and an ice cream ball the second night. It was around $75 each night before tip.
My wife and I were in nyc for the first time in 5 years. We were given s great recommendation by the New York athletic club. Food was delicious and great service.
Trattoria d'el Arte is one of those restaurants we count on for consistently good food, lovely service and customer accomodation. Giving them the benefit of a doubt, the Sunday of Labor Day week-end, the chef must have been in the Hamptons. All food served to the five of us was fair to mediocre..except for the pizza. We ordered two @ $25 a piece, I might say. And it was great, as always. Did they recently raise prices? Of course, we'll return but probably not on holidays. It was a surprising disappointment, particularly, bec... read more
