Dinner at Trattoria Dell'Arte was a wonderful experience, we were treated like Royalty from the time we arrived until we exited the entrance. No complaints, zero... Food was spectacular, service top notch. A larger restaurant that treats you like the name implies, a small neighborhood Itallian Trattoria. We had a great table upstairs overlooking the dining room. Try this restaurant, you won't be disappointed.
Loud as usual, but very convenient to Carnegie Hall. The food is usually reliably good. However, this time I found a long rolled up piece of saran wrap in my chicken. They apologized and immediately agreed to pay for the chicken course. They also gave me more chianti when my glass ran out without asking me if I wanted to buy another glass. It took too long for them to bring me grated parmigiana cheese when asked though. The fried artichoke appetizer was great as usual.
We chose Trattoria as it is walking distance to the theatre district. We were welcomed with genuine warmth and guided to our table. Nice artwork on the wall, but I think I prefer the front room slightly better than the back. The appetiser selection is phenomenal, service very friendly yet efficient enough that you'll make your show. They made us feel as if we were regulars, even if it was only our second time being there. I'd go back in a heart beat.
If you are looking for a great Italian restaurant to have high quality authentic food this is it. The best thin crust pizza I have tried (and been in Napoles) and the home made mozarella is unbeatable. And the location, just across Central Park and two blocks from Columbus circus. Would definitely come back in my next trip to NYC
Love the vegetarian options -- not boring or predictable, and that's really important. One of my guests didn't have a clue what Seitan was but ordered the Seitan Parm (like me) and loved it.
Great atmosphere, great location, delicious food. There were so many things we wanted to order, but not enough meals on the trip. We walked in with a local, and he said that this is his "go to" restaurant, it is a frequent stop for many locals, including "stars". I can see why. It is delicious.
Every time we come to NYC, we dine at this restaurant. The staff is great and food simply excellent. They are very accommodating to kids as well.
I made this reservation based on the dinner I had with a group of friends. As this was a business lunch, i thought it was going to be impressive to a client. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the table that was provided to us (in the middle of floor) and the noise level was too high to discuss business. Waiter seemed like he was new and wasnt too organized. The food of course was fantastic and impressed the clients!
Good restaurant - food was fresh and service was very good. A bit pricey but would expect it.
