We entered and were so warmly greeted. The manager shook our hands and greeted us like celebrities. the vibe in the restaurant was so up and positive. Our server was warm, friendly and on his game. The food was delish as was the wine. The vanilla meringue cake sent my husband over the edge. We hadn't eaten there in many years but will certainly go back again soon.
We greatly enjoyed our evening here. Our server was friendly and paced the meal well and everything was fresh and tasty. The only reason I'm not giving fives across the board is the cost. We spent nearly $70 each splitting a salad and dessert and each having a pizza and a glass of wine. Yes, everything was highest quality, but that's quite steep. And if we'd had anything from the grill the bill would have been out of sight. I would go back, but for a special event.
Very nice place. While we didn't see any couples, maybe because it was a weekday, this could be a nice place for romantic dinner. The bread was great, as were our appetizers. The chocolate cake dessert was phenomenal. Our dinners, two nice fish dishes and a steak, were good. Nothing special. We eat in NYC every week, and the food was good, but very overpriced. While typically eat at $$$$ restaurants, but this was not worth the money. The prices are partially driven by the neighborhood.
Best ITALIAN in the theatre district!
Our experience was very good. The food was great, big portions. The atmosphere was good.
With over 16,000 restaurants in NYC, Trattoria Dell'Arte on 7th Ave stands out..I took 8 people there for dinner, 2 Newyorher,s and 6 who live in the San Francisco area. From the GN Michael to our waiter Joe P, that alone made our evening.. Add outstanding food and service, what more do I need to say......
the food exceeds expectations and is delicious. At these prices, the serves are relatively generous. For midtown on a time tight night when you can't get downtown. This place is a surprisingly good bet. Homey tasty flavorful and satisfying Italian food. The portions are not huge enough to obviously share, but the food is nice. I would not come here on my own unless in the area and someone else is paying. The staff are very friendly and hard working and it shows.
Great location, great food and great staff. Love the antipasto mista and thin crust pizza.
Found this neighborhood restaurant by accident. Food is outstanding as very fresh. Service outstanding and quick especially since we were on our way to the theatre. Recommend highly!!!
