Though the restaurant was very busy, the waiters were very attentive. The food was excellent. I had the house specialty veal chop parmigiana. The butterflied the chop, pounded it thin, coated it with a thin breading, sauce and cheese. Truly memorable. My daughter had the Tagglioni spinach pasta with Parmesan crust. Simple but delicious. My wife really enjoyed her liver and onions. My sister's Veal Picatta was delicious. Highly recommended.
ate here before the neil young show at carnegie hall in jan. 2014. food was great, service friendly and helpful, and got us out and on our way in plenty of time for the show. was really cold outside, so we appreciated the proximity to carnegie.
Food was ok but expensive. Drinks were above $15 each, which I think pricey. My veal was a little salty but ok. Fish was decent. My daughter has nut allergies - not enough choices other than overpriced plain pasta. Wait time was good seating, staff very friendly. Our table was uncomfortable -- we had a vent blowing cold air on us so strongly it was moving the tablecloth. It was also very tight sitting in the booth. I personally won't go again but the location is convenient to Lincoln Center.
Outstanding service and amazing food. I've been here several times and keep coming back. Reservations highly recommended
This place is always busy and noisy. It is also a pretty cool place with good food. We went there pre- show for dinner. The flatbread was great for the kids. I had lobster carbonara and was very happy
If you are in the mood for substantial portions and reasonable prices in New York, Trattoria Dell'Arte is a good bet. The restaurant also accommodated our group ages 6-66 and our various food allergies.
I'd been expecting a truly spectacular experience with Trattoria Dell'Arte, based on everything I'd read about it. But while it had many things going for it -- nice decor, professional waiters, and a terrific eggplant parmigiana, I was not exactly blown away. The tables were very close together, so a sense of privacy/intimacy was nonexistent. The table bread was far from fresh, and the house special artichokes were unremarkable. There was also a considerable difference between our waiter and the waiter our next table had; th... read more
My daughter and I tried this restaurant on a recommendation from friends. I can see why this is their go to restaurant when in NY. The restaurant has a wonderful antipasto bar, excellent wine and menu selections. We had the filet mignon and brussel sprouts, both were excellent. The atmosphere is friendly. Our waiter was excellent, helpful, friendly, fun. Even though we were stuffed we were glad we tried the cannoli's. These were by far the best cannoli's I've ever tasted. This will now be a go to restaurant when we are in NY... read more
