For this out-of-towner anyway, this was a top-notch Italian experience. We went for lunch--our three entrees were the shaved artichoke salad with grilled shrimp, the Italian crab cake w/ pappardelle, and the veal scallopine w/ fresh pea risotto. Appetizer of fried artichoke was delicious. And great little extras like the parmesan muffins and tiny chocolate chip cookies that came around. Trattoria Dell'Arte is not cheap; we thought it was worth the splurge.
Went for lunch after NYU graduation and they were so welcoming. Very good food. Great service. Warm cookies off the baking tray. A very lovely lunch!
Loved the food, fabulous service Great for before theatre
This place is wonderful. I liked to go there and to enjoy the great meal.
ordered one dinner that came totally different, even waitress was surprised, was told they had changed what was written on the menu; other meals were very good
Bread was brought to the table--did not ask if we wanted olive oil----------------service slow------------the wrong appetizer was brought to the table My wife's entree was wrong when it was brought to the table!!!! It seems the staff were not paying attention.
Excellent atmosphere, terrific antipasto, theatrical but helpful and courteous reception staff and a great place for pre-concert or theatre dining as they are efficient when required.
Best edge: so near Carnegie Hall. Service: more attentive and efficient than can be expected in pre-concert crush, but too familiar - don't call me "Dear" once, never mind 4 times. Wine choices: + for # of choices under $60; could use more interesting options; miss the Tsantali Moschomavro. Food good with quality ingredients, but prices silly. Did not appreciate discontinuation of wonderful pizzas until after 7:45. Two of 4 antipasto items overly salty and/or reduced to a level that was too intense (hen of woods mushrooms & ... read more
