from the moment we walked into the restaurant we were met with attentive staff - from the maitre'd to the waitstaff and servers. Trattoria dell'Arte is known for their antipasto selection. The waiter accompanies you to the antipasto bar, you select how many dishes (there are many to choose from), point to each one you want and the plate is carried to your table. The food is fresh and delicious and each dish has its own personality. We had informed the staff that we had a concert to get to (the location is right across the st... read more
Every time we are in New York we eat here. We've had their fish, pasta, salads, whatever we order is excellent. Service is invariably friendly.
The food and service was excellent. The restaurant was a little too noisy.
My wife and I loved the ambiance, the food, the staff - we will definitely go again when we're in NYC.
The restaurant was its usual very busy and noisy environment. This does in no way spoil the experience always treated and greeted as a long lost friend and seating requests are usually adhered to. We shared the calamari which was ample for two people and delicious. My wife chose the scallops delicious and I once again went for the fantastic tuna. Will visit again on our next trip to New York.
Fabulous food, great service. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Since having Dell'Arte recommended by a concierge during a winter visit a couple of years ago, we have returned to the restaurant 8-10 times for dinners, a couple of special occasions, & a couple of lunches. Service & staff are always great. This past weekend, we were recognized by our waiter & our party of 4 was given complimentary champagne and a pre-appetizer plate...touches you don't expect to find in a bustling spot. We have never had a disappointment, from the appetizers to the dessert, and even the wine recommendation... read more
love love this place, love the art work on the wall - Veal Signature is delicious - comfortable dining room - love the bar appetizer bar did I say veal is to die for.
We had salad as the appetizer. A very small portion for the money. As a main dish we shared the lemon chicken and pappardelle with eggplant; they were both very tasty, but again a little on the small side. The bread that was served was delicious; it was stuffed with broccoli or broccoli rabe (not sure) and tomato. The different antipasto salads looked very interesting; maybe for our next visit.
