I've been going to Trattoria Dell'Arte on every visit to NYC. A favorite not to miss.
Wonderful meal as always -- service impeccable (and with a smile). Two of us had the soft-shelled crab entree, one had pasta with spinach. We each had a different glass of red wine (all beautiful), and all had dessert (tiramisu, lemon tart, and cannoli). It was a celebration of the young man at the table winning a place in the New York Philharmonic, and he and his wife expecting their first child in December -- a memorable occasion!
Wonderful place sitting right on 7th Avenue. The antipasto bar is extraordinary and the menu is packed with wonderful pastas and fish. My guest and I had the antipasto bar appetizer, letting our server select some vegetables, cheese and seafood. We followed with whole Bronzino, served over a nice pasta. We enjoyed our dinner at Trattoria Dell'Arte and our server was great. You can eat out side but it's on the side walk and the street is busy, the night hot. We would go again and take friends.
I wouldn't recommend if you don't like noise. Tables are very close.
Had a great dinner last week-end. We were seated in a cozy area. Jeff, our waiter was excellent. Brought us little extras at the end of our meal (chocolates!) He was personable, attentive and funny. Enjoyed the evening and the meal. We will go back next time we are in the neighborhood.
There were 8 of us, not that large a group. Service was way too slow. We waited about 20 minutes to get our first glasses of water. My food was overcooked and at $32, it shouldn't have been. I ate it anyway because it was so late by the time we got it. I always eat here on my trips to NYC and this was the first time I was disappointed.
Every time we visit Manhattan we make a bee line for this fantastic Southern Italian restaurant.A very busy place where seating is shoulder to shoulder. The antipasti bar is truly exceptional! Can't wait to go back!
One of the most enjoyable meals! Our waiter was very friendly and accommodating. His Suggestions were right on the mark. My son gobbled up the filet, smiling the whole time. The lemon Chicken was delicious, everyone had to sample. The best part was the antipasto bar. I am not A vegetable lover but every item was better than the next. The dessert, something that tasted like Key lime pie with a creme brûlée topping topped off a great experience. Would highly recommend!
