Really impressed with how they handled the 200 people in the 6pm-drizzly-Saturday-pre-Carnegie Hall crowd. Our service was outstanding, food was hot or cold as appropriate, and the cookies were a very nice touch. Though this restaurant group has an unnerving number of siblings, I'm always pleased with the experience.
This is a place with class, a place where they take service seriously. The early arriver from our party was offered a complimentary prosecco. We had immediate and top notch attention through the evening. Each dish was better than the next. The 101 Layer Lasagna was unbelievable, as was the Pappardelle with Roasted Eggplant. Our only mistake was ordering too many desserts, because 1. we ate everything and 2.each one would have fed four! Come hungry!
Service was great!although the noise was way too loud.Food was excellent and the wine was impeccable.I've been tothis restaurant sevral times for both lunc and dinner and always return witout disappointment.
I went there once and love their food, so I decided to go for lunch to celebrate my husband's birthday, I wrote a little request when I made the reservation and didn't think the Trattoria would pay attention. Since the minuet we arrived, all the staff were very welcoming and they did take good care of my little request, so all of us were very happy and satisfied, my husband was very happy with this little surprise. I definitely recommend this place to everyone and enjoy their outstanding food and service! I will go back agai... read more
Very good restaurant all around. It never disappoints! Enough variety to satisfy any eater.
A good restaurant which is, sadly, slipping. Menu changed for the worse as has servive. After decades of dining there I am becoming reluctant to return.
Discovered this Gem last year when on visit from Scotland. Had 3 great meals and had to return this year. Food great, staff great, they seem to enjoy working there.Best pizzas in Manhattan but a lot more of great food aswell. Good for celebrity watching. Have recommended to numerous friends from Scotland who all loved it. Noted a review which referred to it as a tourist place. Not so, General Manager recognised us and gave us a great welcome despite us not being there for a year!!
Delicious food (must try there famous veal parm), beautiful artwork, and a great staff make this place one of my fav italian rest in the city. I will be returning here very soon.
The Filet Mignon was delicious! So tender and not one part was burnt when I asked for medium. It was not try at all! Good size portion for those who don't eat a big meal.
